My name is Jimmy, and I am a User Experience and Product Design Student currently interning at a creative agency in Tokyo, Japan. I rely on detailed research and rapid prototyping to refine my designs to suit the needs of users and business goals. I am interested in how combinations of existing product strategy and new technology can provide tangible and intangible value to everyday people.
I am interested in the growing UX scene in Japan and how business and user expectations differ when compared with the west. I also love Japanese typography. The characters in the Japanese language each with its own visual weight and density make for a complex yet beautiful visual form that is unlike any other language I know. 
When I am not working, I like to read articles on Medium, listen to Korean hip-hop music, and play video games with friends.

Work Experience:

Creative Intern, UltraSuperNew
(September 2017 - February 2018)
Working closely with the design team, my responsibility was to design clickable prototypes using Photoshop, Sketch and Invision. I also assisted developers and senior designers in creating assets, conducting product competitor analysis, and ideation in collaboration with other internal departments. Furthermore, I am also responsible for creating assets for internal and client social media channels. This includes copywriting, photo-editing and video production.
